Oriental Fan Card

Hi,

I have made so many cards these past two years. Well to many to send to family and friends.
Many cards were lying in boxes and that is a shame.
So I gave a box of them to a women who sells cards for a good cause named Kika (Stichting Kinderen Kankervrij – Children Cancer-free). It is a organization that raises funds for research that could help children to beat cancer faster. http://www.kika.nl/

I also signed up at a site called postcrossing.com.  http://www.postcrossing.com/
Here is a quote from that site explaining the meaning.
"The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all over the world, for free. Well, almost free! The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will receive at least one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the world".
I think it's fun to receive cards from all over the world and it also gives me the opportunity to sent my homemade cards to someone else.

This week I made a card to sent to a young women in China.
I came across a cute (temporary) freebie stamp on Pixie Dust Studio blog http://pixieduststudio.blogspot.com/

I colored the stamp with with waterpencils.
The oriental fan card I had for quite a long time, I think it's from Romak.
I searched  the internet for plum blossom paper (free print) and luckely found a very pretty one.
I printed this picture on the front of the card.
The flowers, buttons, stickers and tassel are from my own stock. The butterfly is from a decoupage sheet by Marij Rahder.

This is it for today. Have a nice weekend and thank you for stopping by!
Your comments are very much appreciated.

Catch the bug sketch challenge

Hi,

I hope you are having a good weekend so far.
I did some crafting these past days. Made a few cards.
One card I made is for the Bugaboo sketch challenge
http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.com/2012/01/time-for-little-sketch-with-bugaboo.html

Here is the example of the sketch.

And here is the card I made.

The stamp is of course a Bugaboo, such a cutie. I colored it with waterpencils.
The paper I used is from Echo Park called Springtime.
I love the color combination on this card, the purple with the pink.

THANKS for popping in!!
Have a great week.

LOVE letter shaped card

Good afternoon,

I made another card using my Jillibean Soup card kit of january.

I saw the design of the letter shaped card on the internet a few months ago (can't find it anymore, sorry).
I draw out the letters on cardstock, cut them out and then I put on the paper from jillibean soup.

I'm entering this card in the anything goes challenge 58

Thanks for popping in. Until next time!

I thought it was such a lovely design and pretty use of paper!

Here is my card using the paper and other things from the kit I received from Jillibean Soup Card Kitchen Kit Club.

I sure love the kit from Jillibean. I'll be making some other cards in the next few weeks. (Until the next kit arrives :))

I'am entering this card in the next challenges:

A New Year and a new card

Hello everyone,

First I want to wish you all a very happy new year!
We have been away to the sea side for a few days and it was a very windy break!
I did not do any crafting while we were away, but yesterday I started on a card for my aunt who's birthday is coming up in a few days.

I got the idea of the card design from thinking inking blog http://debbiedesigns.typepad.com/muse_and_amuse/2008/04/celebrate-today.html

The paper and cut out pieces are from Tilda,  paper pad Winterbird. http://www.tildasworld.com/
The scalloped edge I cut with a shaped scissor.
The other pieces are from my own stack.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my creation. Have a good week!
