Dutch themed card

Hi and welcome,

I've made a Dutch themed card today with Dutch Icons on it like canal houses, windmills, farmers, Delft Blue and wooden shoes.
My grandfather was a wooden shoe maker, way back in the old days (I think even before WWII).
Here is a picture from a painting were my grandfather is practicing his occupation. It's an old trade, not many people make wooden shoes anymore because there is no market for them.
My grandpa was a good and friendly man. I have fond memories of him.

Back to my card.
The bp is from this Gecko galz Etsy shop.
The clear stamps are from Kars. I colored them using distress markers and felt tip pens from Stabilo.
Printed the sentiment myself. Added some twine.

(How cute are those little Delft Blue pots in the foreground? They are doll house miniatures).

For the layout I used the sketch from sunday sketch and stamp.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

sweet 7 challenge:  the background paper is new

Thanks for reading my blog.

Hugs Henriëtte.

This is exactly how I would imagine a Dutch inspired card should look.
