So Suzy Stamp of the Month May

Whoot Whoot, my first blogpost as a Design team member for the So Sozy Stamp of the Month Club.
This month the stamp is a beautiful scene with sailing boats.

For the So Suzy Stamp of the Month Club, you''ll get a stamp in the mail that is "coastal themed" (beach, nautical). The program includes a great mixture of sentiments and images. You can sign up for three months to try it out or sign up for the whole year - regardless of where you are in the world! At the end of the year, you''ll have a great collection of coordinating stamps.
For more information and to join in on all the fun visit the So Suzy Stamp of the month club site.

Here is my first card.

The night sky background I made by blending four colors of Tim Holtz distress inks together and
adding drops of white linen ink spray.

I placed the panel on silver cardstock.
Then I stamped the sailing ship with versamark and used white embossing powder to heat set the image.

After that I used the same colors distress inks and blended them over the embossed image.
Using my cuttlebug I punched the image out.

On a scrap piece of paper I printed the sentiment which I typed in Word.

Finally I added some white stars and a nautical wheel as embelishments.

My second card is really nautical. Here are the supplies I used.
  • So Suzy Stamp May.
  • Neenah Classic crest white card stock
  • Metallic red cardstock
  • red foam
  • Background paper is from a cardmaking magazine
  • Embelishments: felt anchor, blue rope, little blue buttons
  • Bon Voyage stamp (is from a local store)
  • Mini Misti for stamping the sentiment.

I used the foam behind the red metallic cardstock to lift it and to make it look like a porthole.

I hope you'll find inspiration from my cards. You can find much more examples from my fellow So Suzy DT members on the So Suzy Blog and on the two Facebook groups: So Suzy Stamps flaunt it FB group  and So Suzy stamp of the month.

Thanks for visiting and I do appreciate all your comments.

Hugs, Henriette.
