So Suzy Stamp of the Month December

This is my last post featuring the So Suzy Stamp of the Month. This month all who subscribed will receive this sentiment stamp plus a bonus stamp AND .... everyone who signed up for the entire year will be receiving a couple of fabulous surprises with December's kits!

I have two cards for you today because the So Suzy website and store are closing down the second half of December to come back in the new year with a brand new and fabulous new site and store.

On my first card I only used sentiment stamp.

I stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and heat embossed it with WOW earthtone mint embossing powder. The paper is digital paper from this Etsy shop. I thought the waves and arrows pattern fits the sentiment very well.

I've added a few enamel dots and wood veneer arrows. I've painted the wooden arrows in the same colors as the paper.

For my second card I played around with watercolor paints on watercolor paper until I was happy enough with the ocean kind of look. I used a MFT die to cut out the frame.

On a scrap piece of watercolor paper I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder.

I stamped the sand dollar 3 times with brown ink (one is second generations stamping) and fussy cut them.

I've never seen a sand dollar in real live. I don't think they can be found on beaches here in the Netherlands, but I do like them as I love all shells.

Today I'm sharing another card I've made using the So suzy stamp of the month club October stamp.

Here are the supplies I used to make this card.

The stencil and nuvo's I've bought at so suzy stamps.

First I've used the stencil and distress inks to create the patterned piece.
I've stamped the sentiment with versamark ink  on vellum and heat embossed it with Nuvo silver embossing powder.
I placed a piece of cardstock behind the vellum that is also blended with distress ink.

Finally I've added a thin stripe of silver cardstock and a few nuvo Crystal drops.

For my card I used these supplies:

I wanted to create a stormy sea and I made this by blending different inks. Then I printed a sailing boat on the stormy sea. I bought this clip art from a Etsy store. 

Then I added the sentiment and placed the panel with foam on a piece of white cardstock.

So Suzy Stamp of the Month September

After my previous under the sea card using this months stamp from SO SUZY , I acquire the taste and made a similar kind of card. Here are all the products I used.

The most time went into blending the background.

After making the background I stamped the corals and added a school of fish. I made this school of fish in photoshop, it's a free brush that I faded out and then printed directly on the paper.

Then I searched for a suitable sentiment and found "my love for you is deeper than the ocean". It was just perfect for my card. I made the sentiment also in photoshop using a brush font and printed it on the card.

At first I struggled a bit on how to use this coral/seaweed stamp but eventually it came to me.

First I've made a background using distress inks, watercolor paper and a mini mister for waterdrops.

Then I cut out a arched shape by using a die from MFT.

I inked up the stamp a few times with green and orange distress markers and gave it a spritz, 

then stamped it on the background. 

I wasn't really satisfied and wanted to added some fish in the background. I didn't have the right stamp for this but I found a digital photoshop brush of a school of fish and used that brush in photoshop. Then I printed it in the panel. (There is the chance that the piece of paper gets stuck in the printer, so I always keep my fingers crossed when doing this).

Then I made the cardbase by adding splatters and a printed sentiment.

and this is the finished card.

Today I'm sharing two clean and simple cards I've made using the So Suzy Stamp of the Month August.

Here are the two card I made. Both are very easy to make and I used a wooden sailing ship embellishment on both cards. I wanted to be the So Suzy sentiment the main focus.

This sentiment can be used in many ways on a card but I thought it would be fun to make a (rum) bottle tag with it.

Supplies used:

So Suzy Stamp of the Month August
Copper cardstock
Digital paper from Silvercrystalscouk on Etsy.
Die cuts

First I made the bottle tag using copper card stock. I found the measurements for this tag on pinterest.
I die cut out the hole.
Then I cut out a piece of the digital paper and stamp the sentiment on it.

It's a masculine bottle tag, perfect for a bottle of rum.

The July stamp is a wonderful compass and this time I made a clean and simple card.

Materials used:

Sand and white cardstock

Versamark ink

White Embossing powder

Vellum

Varieus dies

Digital paper 

Sequins

Twine

First I stamped the compass stamp on vellum and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I used a circle die to cut out a circle,

The digital paper used to cut out two other circles is from Magical Studio on ETSY.

I also cut out a rectangular shape from white cardstock using a MFT dienamic.

I organized the circles and the sequins on the white panel and stamped a little bon voyage sentiment underneath. I do like the little shell sequins, I had them for years and now they came to good use. The twine matches the second circle.

When I was thinking about a way to use this compass I remembered a wonderful movie I did see a few times called "The Golden Compass". A great fantasy/action movie. I loved it. Too bad there wasn't another sequel.

This movie inspired me to make my card with a golden compass. I wanted to make a gold and blue themed card.

Star punch (Dutch store HEMA)

First I made the compass using versamark ink and Wow gold embossing powder and a round die to cut out the circle.

I used distress ink to give the paper more ancient look.

I cut out a circle from gold metallic paper and one from copper paper and place all layer on each other.

The background panel of the card is digital paper (I altered the colors abit in Photoshop).

Behind this piece I glued blue metallic cardstock.

I also used a scrap piece of gold metallic paper to punch out little golden stars. The sentiment I typed in Word and printed it on a piece of yellow cardstock and distressed the edges.

It's a very shiny card I hope you can see this on this little movie I made.

White and Sand cardstock (Bazill)

Piece of blue cardstock.

MFT die-namic

Versamark

Embossing powder (clear and white)

Chalk inkpad

Pattern paper 

Summer stamp (local store action)

So Suzy Stamp So suzy stamps

First I used a scrap piece of blue cardstock to stamp the starfish multiple times with versamark and heat emboss with clear embossing powder.

If you don't know what to use as a background, you can always stamp your main focal stamp with clear embossing powder and use that as the background.

I cut out the rectangle with a MFT dienamic.

I also stamped the starfish on vellum with white embossing powder and use chalks to color the back of the vellum.

The sentiment is kept simple with just the word Summer, also on vellum with white embossing powder.

All I had to do was to put everything together.

This month you'll get not one but two stamps! There is a funny Jack Sparrow saying sentiment stamp and a BONUS stamp a cute little starfish.
I LOVE all the pirates movies! Seen them many times. Jack always makes me laugh. So I was very happy to see the June stamps.

For the release day I made a pirate map card.
The map is a free download. There are lots of treasure maps to download on internet. I found my free download here.
The coloring of the water, mountains and cross I did digitally in photoshop. I tried coloring it with my alcohol markers but I wasn't pleased with the results. So I colored the map in Photoshop and printed it on paper from a brown paperbag.

To give the paper an old look I torn and wrinkled the paper en distressed the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink.

I stamped the sentiment also on the same paper and distressed the edges.

Then I attached the paper to grey cardstock and added a piece of rope and a wheel embellishment.

I put some foam pads under the sentiment.
