Out of Africa

The other day I was shopping and I came across these tangram animal shapes that would look cute on cards.

The shop is called Xenos and they also have some great paper packs and matching embellishments.
I decided to make a few African style cards using the paper and the wildlife animal figures.

The sand colored panel is adhered with foam tape.

The sentiments I made myself in paint using a Africa style font.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Henriette.

Hello Little Friend

Bugaboo is having their 6th annual birthday bash and the theme on day one is "Wild thing, you make my heart sing".

I used a bugaboo stamp with a cute elephant. I did the coloring in photoshop. I also added a little hello word bubble.

Miss You more than just a little

My second blogpost today is to share with you a card I made for the Avery Elle challenge: winter.

Challenge 32

I don't have a lot Avery Elle stamps so I had to think of a way to make a winter card with an elephant. You usually don't see a wild elephant in the snow but hey one has to manage with what one has got.

I watercolored the background and added waterdrops. I used a stampin'up snow stamp and embossing powder to make the snow.
I colored the little elephant (stamp from Avery Elle) with spectrum nours. The sentiment is  a stamp from mama elephant.

Entering this card in the Avery Elle challenge: Winter.

Thanks so much for visiting. I so much appreciate your comments.

Hugs, Henriëtte

You fill my day with colour

Hi and happy Sunday,

Last month I was one of the lucky winners at outlawz challenges. I won a gift certificate from 7 kids college fund and
I ordered some stamps from Avery Elle and Lawn Fawn.

On my card I used avery elle's cute elephant and bubbles clear stamps.
I did the coloring using watercolor pencils.
The sentiment is a stamp from a previous Simon Says stamp card kit. I heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Added threads in the rainbow colors.

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by.
I appreciate all your comments very much!

Hugs Henriette.

I never forget ... What?

Hello,

On my next card I used an icon. The elephant is a free icon from icon archive.com.
I thought he looked funny. I have a thing with icons, the simple lines often are very effective images.

The black patterned paper looks like the skin of an elephant.
I made the sentiment in word using the font called "this font looks like elephant".
For the cardstock I used different shades of gray.

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

outlawz challenges: Saturday shades-of-gray
my time to craft challenge: zoo animals
fab n funky challenge: flora or fauna

Thanks for visiting my blog. Take care.

Hugs Henriëtte.

Up, Up and Away

Hi,

I'm happy it is Saturday again!
Today I'm sharing with you two cards I made with this weeks sketch at freshly made sketches.

The paper on this card is from the october card kit from Simon Says Stamp.
The digital stamp is from Bugaboo stamps. Colored in Photoshop.

For this card I used the paper pad "Best Friends" from Poppydesign.
I printed a free word sentiment from Karla Dudley next to the cute owl, added twine and a leaf sequin.
