Spellbinders small die set of the month December - Sketched florals & frame

Hello, I hope you are doing fine.

Today I'm sharing my card made with the Spellbinders December small die set.

For more information about the Spellbinders monthly membership clubs please click here.

This months small die set is so much fun. It has 12 cutting dies with a beautiful frame and lots of different flowers and leaves.

Here is my card.

For this card I used black, pink and gold as the color combination.
I die cut the frame from gold cardstock.

The flowers are cut from different pinks and off white cardstock.
For the leaves I used two shades of green.

The "congrats" die cut is from the Simply perfect collection and
the "have a blessed day" sentiment is from the mini everyday sentiments collection.

I adhered all pieces to a black cardstock panel.
Some flowers and leaves are added using foam tape to give the card more dimension.
The black panel was then glued to an off white cardbase.

To embellish the card I added pink gems.

Black and gold

I'm not that happy with my next card. I got a bit carried away with the glitter paper and glitter embellishments . It doesn't have the clean look I wanted to create. (My daughter even said it looked cheap and tacky).
I used gold glitter paper to cut out the poinsettia. The background is black glitter paper. I also added little bits of gold leaf on it. The sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder from Wow.
I added gray burlap and some red accents.
