Junk journal envelopes for Craft Box UK

Today I'm here with my last project as a design team member for Craft Box UK.

I've been a member of the Craft Box UK design team since April 2020 and it was

 a great team to be in.

For this projects I've decided to use up some of my scrap pieces of paper and 

made these 3 pocket envelopes for future junk journals.

The paper and ephemera I used are from the Steampunk collection by Craft Box UK.

This envelope has a pocket on the front for putting in tags, journal cards or in my case, stickers.

I sewed the paper pieces together to create the pocket envelopes.

On this envelope I did some paper collaging and added a steampunk bug cut out.

These envelopes can also be used for snailmailing.

I would like to thank Anna and Claire from Craft Box UK for the opportunity and 

the awesome Craft Box UK  products.

It's been a different kind of year with the Corona virus going on in the world but I 

loved being part of the Craft Box UK team.

Steampunk tag for Craft Box UK

Hi, welcome to my blog.

Today I'm sharing another project made with the steampunk collection by

 Craft Box UK.

I cut the base of the tag using mdf board. It measures 10,5 x 16 cm.

I covered the tag with paper from the steampunk paperpad.

On top of the base I added a collaged panel using dimensional tape.

The panel is decorated with cut outs, metal gears, metallic tape, 

buttons and a piece of plastic with copper wax on it.

Finally I've added a big eyelet and a piece of wrinkled ribbon.

Steampunk matchbox for Craft Box UK

 Hi! Happy Sunday, everyone! I'm here today sharing a steampunk project made with the 

Steampunk collection by Craft Box UK.

I started by making the matchbox. Using https://www.templatemaker.nl/en/ 

I created a matchbox template which measured 4,5 x 3,5 x 1,5 inches.

I cut out the templates, tray and sleeve, in kraft colored cardstock 

and assembled them.

Then I covered all sides using the pattern papers from the Craft Box UK Steampunk collection.

I distressed all edges with vintage photo distress ink.

I decorated the outside and inside of the matchbox with cut outs from the paperpad, ephemera pieces, gears, vintage buttons, copper wire and steampunk charms.

Finally I've added bronze colored art wax on some of the elements and 

on the edges.

Steampunk is not really my cup of tea but I do like the way this 

altered matchbook turned out. Especially the goggles on the side of the box look great.

Masculine chocolate bar box

Hi and welcome to my blog!
I don't make lots of masculine cards, boxes etc. Not because of a particulair reason, I just like the girly papers and embellishments more.
But today I'm sharing a chocolate gift box made for a guy (boys like chocolate too).

There is an tutorial on the Lemoncraft blog on how to make a chocolate bar box. You can find it here, but you can also buy them premade, for example at 14 craft bar.

I decorated my box with paper from Kaisercraft called "scrap yard collection" and distressed the edges of the box. I love that paper, it's very grunge and bold.
For embellishments I used wood elements but also metal elements.

To give the elements a rusty effect I covered them with rust effect paste from Prima Marketing.
This gives a kind of steampunk look.

I also used rusty elements on the inside of the card and placed a big piece of dark chocolate inside.

To close the box I used a piece of necklace chain.
