Birthday Card - girl with balloons

Hello,

This weeks challenge at casology is mini.

I made this card using a free embroidery pattern instead of a digital stamp. She was just too cute.
You can find the free embroidery pattern at down grapevine lane.

Cute, isn't she?
I colored the pattern digital in photoshop. The dress is red with white polkadot.
The sentiment is part of Pea snowflake doodles font.
I think I should have placed the image a bit more to the left corner, but hey ...

I'm entering this card in these challenges:

Have a great day.
Hugs Henriëtte.

The parade

Hello,

There are certain illustrations you just love at first sight.
I had that feeling with the illustration on my next card.

It is actually an embroidery pattern from Sarah Jane http://sarahjanestudios.com/blog/.
She makes really lovely illustrations, like "the parade".

It takes me more than one hour to color this kind of image using Photoshop, but it is fun to do.
I didn't put anything else on the card, the image is pretty enough.

Thank you for stopping by! Your comments are very much appreciated.

Hugs x

Noel

Hi,

Last week I made a CAS (clean and simple) card using an embroidery pattern from Annie Oakleaves. http://www.flickr.com/photos/annieoakleaves/
I downloaded the cute pattern from Flickr and colored it in using Photoshop.

This is the colorscheme I used for the coloring.

I printed the image on white cardstcck and put it on an icy blue cardstock.
The paper edges of the image were lightly distressed.

I'm entering this card in the next challenge:

One stop craft challenge: anything goes.

Enjoy your weekend and until soon!
