Spellbinders August Clubs Blog Hop

Hi, welcome to my blog and to the Spellbinders August Clubs Blog Hop.

I'm last one on the list and you have already seen a lot of amazing projects with the
August club kits.

I'm sharing my make using the Amazing Paper Grace telephone die set.

This time I went for a little childhood nostalgia in the form of a

vintage black bakelite phone. To give it more interest I've added some copper elements.

Here are the 16 pieces die set designed by Becca Feeken. It's very easy to assemble all the pieces together. There is a video on the Amazing Paper Grace blog on how to do it. http://www.amazingpapergrace.com/pop-up-telephone/

The awesome thing about this set, besides that they make a pop up 3D card,
is the possibility to add multiple cards or photo's on the receivers.
I kept it simple with just one card, a "call me" sentiment.

You can find a very different sample on how to use these dies in my previous post:

Your phone projects are fantastic! I can picture the one where you used the Stamperia paper in a Victorian boudoir.

Love the color combo of black and copper. So masculine. I could see the phone sitting on a mahogany desk in a study. Very nice card.

Love those wonderful, fun phones. Believe it or not, I remember those phones (the black one anyway), but my grandchildre probably wouldn't know what they are.

Oh my gosh these phones take me back. We actually have 3 bakelite phones at home as part of a display...one even pre-rotary, where you just clicked the button to get an operator. You captured it beautifully! Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

My aunt had a bakelit phone that looked like the black one on your card! It is so perfect, beautiful work!

I like the color combination. The idea to pull out the note is great. I think it would be neat to recreate with a small notepad. Such a fun design.

Wow - the trimmed one looks especially fun to do, and such different looks! (Just like the fancy vs. simple phone in my house growing up!) Love how you added the hand-written number to the front - very realistic!
