Adding beads to a card

I do like to experiment with using different materials on cards and today I'm showing you a card on which I included some flowers made with beads.

It's a very clean and simple card but the word die, the sentiment and the beaded flowers do make it interesting.

You can find a tutorial on how to make these bead flowers here (it's from luvleescrappin).
I used smaller beads for my flowers but kind of the same technique.

The "smile die"  is from the inspired by stamping July release and so is the sentiment.
The sequins are part of the valentines day kit .

As I said it's a CAS card but with an unusual embellishment to it and not so difficult to make.

My heart beets for you

Just a quick blog post for me today sharing an extreme CAS card for the stempelküche challenge.

First I've made the beets by die cutting the beets out of white cardstock. I used a die from craftin desert divas. Then I colored the beets with lilac, red and green spectrum noir markers.

I made the sentiment in paint and printed it on white cardstock. I used two nesti heart dies to cut out the heart shapes and placed them on lime green cardstock using foam.

I do like the color combination on this card and of course the punny sentiment.

More Foamiran flowers

I've been making some more foamiran flowers, this time cute little jasmine flowers and used them on a clean and simple card.

The sentiment stamp is from the new So Suzy Stamps  release and perfect for this CAS card.

J'adore

Today I'm sharing a different size card. Instead of the usual square or rectangular shaped card, I diecided to make a tall card. It's about 3 by 6 inches with a side fold.

Here are all the supplies I used for this card:

So Suzy Stamps: j'adore, ranunculus outlined and ranunculus solid.

Cardstock: dark grey, light blue and teal blue

Gold glitter paper

White pigment ink pad Ranger

Die from memory box

Flower stamens

Metal thread blue

Blue ink from So Suzy Stamps

Little butterfly die cut (pre cut)

Gold and blue sequins.

First I stamped the flowers on blue cardstock tone on tone with blue ink and fussy cut them.

I die cut the flower from gold glitter paper and used just a few leaves from that die cut.

Then I played around to get a nice arrangement using the metal thread, flower stamens, stamped images and gold leaves until I was pleased with the result. Finally I've added the sequins and the J'adore stamp using my mini misty and white pigment ink.

I think grey, teal and gold is a perfect color combination.

I don't think I ever wrote 3 blogposts in one day, but today I did.
Two posts are for different design teams and this one is for sharing a very clean and simple card I've made to enter the aaa cards challenge.

The theme is "Hello" and I've used a cute bat hanging up side down for my card.
The bat is a free icon download from flaticon.
I've rotated the icon in paint and printed it on light grey cardstock.
After die cutting (MFT die) I added the legs and finally I stamped the sentiment.

I like this kind of cards with just a simple image and a bit funny. I hope you like it to.

This card shows you that you can also use icons on cards. They can be resized, rotated and colored and there are some really cute free downloads available.

Merry Kissmas

Just a few more days until Christmas and I've made some last CAS Christmas cards.
They are very easy to make and therefore suitable if you need some last minute Christmas cards.

It's only cardstock,  a few twigs of mistletoe (die is from Creative expressions - craft dies by Sue Wilson), a piece of string and a sentiment (sentiment is a stamp from a previous Simon says stamp card kit). I've made four different color combinations and combined cardstock with glitter paper.
The cardbase is about 3 by 5,5 inch (7,5 by 14 cm)

This is copper with copper glitter paper, sentiment is embossed with clear embossing powder.

A gold version, gold cardstock and gold glitter paper.

Green with purple.

and a light blue, white and silver embossed sentiment.

My favorite is the antracite with the copper.

This is my second blog post today sharing with you a clean and simple card I've made.
Although it's clean and simple it took me quite some time to translate the ideas in my head to an actual card. I had wood, nature, simple and elegance in my mind and I just couldn't get it together in a card. When I was about to give up it kind of did.

Dream Little One

Last week I bought a second hand Cricut. It's one of the older versions and not what I was looking for (that I know now). Still it comes to use like on this baby card.  It's a really simple card with just two elements and a sentiment.

So Suzy stamp of the month August

Today I'm sharing two clean and simple cards I've made using the So Suzy Stamp of the Month August.

Here are the two card I made. Both are very easy to make and I used a wooden sailing ship embellishment on both cards. I wanted to be the So Suzy sentiment the main focus.

Happy Hauting

I know it's a bit early but I've already seen some new Halloween themed stamp sets around and so I decided to make a halloween card for the CAS on Sunday sketch challenge.

 
First I made the rectangle by using a mask and blending distress inks.
The scary ghost is a photoshop brush (free download here) that I printed out and colored with spectrum noir markers.
The bat is a free printable and the sentiment I made in word.

Sublime

I have made a card to enter the CAS this sketch challenge this week.

For my card I used the cute submarine stamp from Pretty cute stamps.

As I was coloring this digital stamp in Photoshop of course the song yellow submarine popped in my head. 

So I colored the submarine yellow, why not? (It was that or pink, remember "operation petticoat")?

I also used the sentiment and bubbles from the set and a die-namic from my favorite stamps

to create waves behind the propellers.

Beary Sorry

Today I'm sharing my fourth card for the casometry challenge  at Anna Kossakovskaya's blog.
You have to make five CAS cards using the same stamp set on every card.
I've used the Honey bears set from The Ton Stamps .

First I stamped the bear on a piece of white cardstock and masked the image so I could sponge the background

using brown inks.

Then I colored the bear with spectrum noir markers and cut the pieces out with MFT dienamics.

I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

The inner panel is Stampin'up! paper.

He really looks like he is sorry!

Flowers

My next card is inspired by this weeks muse card from Tracey McNeely

I used my spectrum noir markers as shown in the pictures and very inexpensive stamps I bought on Ebay 

(poor quality, but they do the trick). For die cutting I used a MFT die-namic.

 

To avoid that my card look to simular to the muse card I placed the group of flowers on a round die cut and 

not in the left corner of the card. The sentiment is a stamp from stamplorations.

I traced around the flowers with a grey/blue marker to make the flowers stand out even more.

I love you to bits

This was a quick and simple card to make.

First I typed random 0 and 1 in word and printed that.

I used die cuts from My favorite things to cut out the shapes. Then I printed the sentiment using a techno font and added a wooden heart. A fun card to give to a geek boyfriend or someone who's into computerprogramming or so.

(almost) SPRING

The weather forecast here in the Netherlands is predicting "a touch of spring" at the end of this week!
So looking forward to that.

My card today also has a spring theme.
It's a clean and simple card with washi tape.

The hopping chicklet is a free image from a Japanese site called Wanpug.com. I made the sentiment in paint and printed it on the cardstock.

Yesterday I made this card. For the background I used a stencil, daubers and dye inks. 

The cactus and sentiment are stamps from paper smooches. 

The heart balloon is a stamp from a previous simon says stamp card kit.

I colored the cactus with spectrum noir markers.
