Spellbinders large die set of the month December - Layered stitched background

Hi friends, welcome to my blog.

It's time to share my first card made with the December large die set.

This month's set consists of 6 cutting dies and it is a stitching die set again.

We have seen more stitching die sets this year and I love these kind of dies.

It's so relaxing to stitch, great for stress relief!

Here is my card. It is a Christmas themed card but you can use the dies

 for all kinds of celebrations.

I went for a very colorful Christmas card. I was inspired by this picture I found in Pinterest.
I love all the different colors and I wanted to do something different then the
traditional red/green/gold.

For the stitching I used 2 strands of embroidery thread.

The sentiment is from the Spellbinders October small die set.
This set is still available at Spellbinders here.
To embellish the card I added multi colored gems and a glitter bow with two bells.

Spellbinders large die set of the month October 2021 - Santa's fireplace

Hi and welcome to my blog.

Today I'm sharing my inspiration with the Spellbinders October large die set- Santa's Fireplace.

I can tell you this die set is really awesome!! It has no less than 27 pieces and it's suitable for Christmas but also for thanksgiving. AND it has a kinetic element. If you use the santa hanging in the fireplace the legs move back and forth.

You can watch a reveal of the entire set on the Spellbinders YouTube channel.

I went for a more vintage look and made this cosy Christmas card.

I used Tim Holtz backdrops papers for the fireplace and
the background.

The two Christmas trees are from the October small die set.

This card involved  a lot of die cutting with all the small elements but I do
like how it turned out. It has a nostalgic feel to it.

Spellbinders Large die of the month August - Hex Kaleidoscope slimline

Hi, welcome to my blog.

It's the beginning of the month and that means that all the Spellbinders monthly club kits

are revealed.

I'm sharing my inspiration using the large die set: hex kaleidoscope slimline.

This month's set has 5 cutting dies and with it you can create slimline cards with a

 stunning dimensional motif.

I started by making my own colored papers. I searched online for a beautiful color palette and
I found this one; beautiful beachglass colors.

Then I imported the image in Photoshop and made a A4 sheet of each color which
 I printed out.

My cardbase is a rectangular 8 1/4 x 3 1/4 from creamy white cardstock.

The 3 hexagons dies are the same size, but each has a slightly different design.
I die cut each one from different colored cardstock and stack them to make the dimensional motifs.

]

I used little hexagon drop out pieces to fill in the background randomly.

The sentiment is a die cut from the Spellbinders Simply perfect collection.
Finally I embellished the card with little pearls in matching colors.

This set is called stitched card front, border and flowers and it consists of 7 cutting dies.

I used the border and the flower embroidery dies to create my card.

The colors scheme I used is pink and green, not a combination I have used often.
The bright colors do pop and  luckily I had matching embroidery thread.

The sentiment stamp is from the May clear stamp of the month.

The card is embellished with a lace trim on the top and a few sequins.

Spellbinders small die of the month May - Arched A2 & Slimline Card Creator

Hi and welcome to my blog.

I have a pretty card to share with the Spellbinders small die of the month May.

This die set is called the Arched A2 & slimline card creator and it has 5 cutting dies.

I went for a slimline card this time in bright pink and gold colors.

I started with a white top fold card and glued a slightly smaller gold panel on the base.
On top of the gold I've added a fuchsia colored panel.

I die cut the arch twice from light pink cardstock and glued them together
overlapping the bottom brackets.
The arch die is also used to die cut two golden circles.

On the 2 golden circles I glued two light pink circles and the
inner rims from fuchsia cardstock.
The strip in the middle has 3 layers and the sentiment is from the
mini everyday hot foil sentiment set.

The card is embellished with little flowers and leaves from the Spellbinders January
large die set and a few sequins.

I think this slimline card turned out very pretty.
